What are you waiting for?

The vast majority of people in what we call the Western world are constantly waiting for something to happen.

They are waiting for something to change, for something to become different from what it is.

What they are waiting for to change can be many things, but typically it has something to do with: Their partner, their financial situation, their home, their car, their achievements – or perhaps simply that the weather will change for the better….

Very few of these people have ever asked themselves the question: What will it take before I will stop waiting for something to happen? How much has to change before I have the feeling of having arrived?

Have you ever asked yourself what it would take?

Well, even those who are really busy are waiting for something. In fact, the busier you are, the more you are waiting for something. One is busy precisely because what is in this moment is not sufficient. When you are in a hurry, it is because you are in a hurry to get “there”.

People who don’t wait for anything are in flow. They are in flow with the moment and all that it contains. It is a sphere of creativity and spontaneity and life expression.

From the outside, some would perceive these people as busy, but this is a misunderstanding.

A person who no longer waits for something to happen is not in a hurry. There may be a great discharge of energy, but it is not to be in a hurry.

Whether other people are busy or in flow is completely irrelevant to you. If other people are in a hurry to get “there”, or if their being in flow has no value to you. Don’t spend your time analyzing other people, don’t spend your life trying to figure out if people around you are trying to get “there” or they are in flow.

The only thing of value to you is when you discover if you are in a hurry to get somewhere else, in other words, if you are preoccupied with the idea that this moment is not good enough.

Life in its entirety unfolds in “space” that we call this moment, so when you say no to this moment, you are simultaneously saying no to life.

Saying no to life hurts.

You may have thought that the reason you are suffering is because you have not arrived yet, but now you know that is not the case.

Now you know that the reason you are suffering is solely due to the fact that when you are busy trying to get “there”, then you are saying no to life itself. As long as you say no to life, you will at the same time be blind to what life really offers you.

When you start to say yes to life, you will be surprised at how much life constantly offers you. The power of the present – is to say yes to life, is to create in harmony with life. Nowhere else will you find a more “powerful” and competent partner – than in the space of the present moment.

Life is this moment…
